He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his parents, Salvatore Gentile and Carmela Gentile; his parents-in-law, Alfonzo and Salvatrice Puzzo; and his siblings, Calogera (Alfonso Bruno), Giuseppe Gentile (Maria) of Germany and John Puzzo.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Gentile (Josie) and Carmela Faure (Philippe); his grandchildren, Sam Jr., Laura, Nicholas and Luke; and his siblings, Bill Puzzo (Sandy) and Charlie Puzzo (Fernanda). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
