Savvas Smirnios Obituary
We bid farewell to Savvas Smirnios (Hamilton, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 24, 2025 at the age of 81. Savvas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore and Georgina; and his siblings, Dimitri, Chris, Maria and Daphne.
He is survived by: his wife Dimitra Smirnios; his daughters, Gina, Nena (Colin) and Teri (Angelo); his grandchildren, George, Savvas, Niky, Nikolas, Alex, Pavlos, Stefano and Maria; his brother-in-law Andreas (Maria); and his niece Gina Chreppas (Thanassy). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hamilton - Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A prayer will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church (233 E 15th St, Hamilton, ON L9A4G1). A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Hamilton Cemetery (260 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9B1C3).
