In the sacred silence of farewell, Serafim is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Serafim's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary; his children, Kevin (Isabel), Jessica Khumalo (Zak) and Sara Garay (Daniel); and his siblings, John (late Anna), Lurdes (John), Belmira and Isabel (Tony). He was also cherished by his nieces, his extended family and many dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Homes (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (440 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8N1C6).
