With sadness, we share the passing of Simun Pavlak (Hamilton, Ontario). Simun, born on April 16, 1946, passed away on August 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marko and Pera; and his siblings, Matija, Stanko and Jozo.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stjepan (late Ruza) and Anica Lavric (Boškan); his nieces and nephews, Tanya Pavlak-Moore (Jim), Nancy Frketich (Dave), Slobodan (Mary) and Monika Lavric; his great-nieces and great-nephews, John (Kristin), Michael, Steven (Kristina), Erica (Sheldon), Mia, Emily, Adriana and Nina; Marko, Matthew and Martina.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9).
Donations can be made to the Croatian Sports and Community Centre, Holy Cross Croatian Church or Diabetes Canada.
