She was predeceased by: her husband Evangelos Bistas; and her sister Pota. She is survived by: her sons, Bill (Popi) and Gus (Mia); her grandchildren, Angelo (Karlyle), Demetri (Leya), Evan and Ambros; her great grandchild Berkley; and her sibling Venetia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church (233 E 15th St, Hamilton, ON L9A4G1). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Mount Hamilton Cemetery (260 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9B1C2).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sonia's memory may be made to Bob Kemp Hospice.
