He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Erik and Hilda. He is survived by: his wife Karin; his daughter Julia; his son-in-law Jeff; his stepgranddaughter Peyton; his parents, Irene and Arthur; his siblings, James, Cathy (Rick) and Alan (Sharon); his sisters-in-law, Mona (Alex) and Marilyn; and his siblings' children, A. J., Melissa (Keith), Jeremy, Kyle (Ashley), Brenden (Kendra) and Daniel. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home (36 Lake Ave Dr, Stoney Creek, ON L8G3N3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
