In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Stephen had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Stephen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Kir; his children, Erica Jarrell (Donnie) and Sean Kir; his sister Debbie Laidman (Doug); his niece Laura Cometto (Mike); his great-nieces, Abbigail and Eleanor; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Emily and Nicolai. He is also survived by his sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and best of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Bob Kemp Hospice, whose compassion and care meant so much to Stephen and his family.
