Steve leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Steve’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Steve will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam (Ivona) and Stefanie (Blake); and his great grandchildren, Anabel and Nikolas.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Gunjilac Jr. (Darinka) and Mira Domjancic.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 735 ON-8, Troy, ON L0R1X0.
