He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Taylor; and his brothers, Joseph Taylor and Joe. He is survived by: his partner Patti-Sue Cushenan; his daughters, Krista Taylor (Ryan Moir) and Kelly Smith (Shayne); his grandchildren, Klayton, Karter and Kenley; his mother Marilyn Taylor; and his brothers, Ken Taylor (Eileen) and Randy Taylor. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the L. G. Wallace Funeral Home (151 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H 3Z2). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus (222 Queenston Rd, Hamilton, ON L8K1G6).
