He was predeceased by: his spouse Ruza Rimac; his brother Jozo; his sister-in-law Ljubica; his sister Janja of Croatia; and his sister-in-law Kata (Bozo).
He is survived by: his children, Tony (Sue) and Laurie Higgins (Jay); his grandchildren, Erika (Connor), Alyssa (Ante), Justin, Emmerson and Parker; his brothers, Ivan (Angelka) and Marko (Luca); and his cousin Anna Vukadin (Jozo). He is also survived by the many nieces and nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Eugene's Church (232 Queenston Rd, Hamilton, ON L8K1G6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Youth Sports Program at the Croatian Sports and Community Centre (GMR) in Hamilton would be appreciated. The family has chosen to donate to Kapela in Celebic.
