With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sylvia Hofman (Hamilton, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sylvia left this world on May 26, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Sylvia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sylvia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Hofman and Aino Hofman. She is survived by: her brothers, Boris (Sheila), Tony and Vincent Hofman; and her friend John Sutherland. She is also survived by family, many friends and Tommy the cat.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Homes (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (440 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8N1C6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Sylvia's memory would be appreciated by the family.
