She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Thomas Carter; her parents, Frank Jones and Marie Jones (Lapp); and her sisters, Helen Barnard and Iris Mulholland.

She is survived by: her sons, Douglas (Margaret), David (Christine) and Jim (late Cecilia); her grandchildren, Jason, Pamela (late Robert Lambert), Jon (Christina), Sarah (Gary), Barbara (Matt), Allan, Mathew (April) and Christopher (Kim); her great grandchildren, Carter, Garret, Westley, Lillian, Grayson, Makayla of Thomas, J. D., Jack, Irene, Steven and Violet; and her sister Marlene Boniface. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
