He is survived by: his spouse Giuliana (Dipietro); his children, Marco Cappelli and Sonia VanderMeulen (Gary); his grandchildren, Christian, Ava and Chloe; and his sister Anna Pompei. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.
