With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valrie Lashley (Hamilton, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her children, Megan, Deserié and Christopher; her grandchildren, Ronnie, Stephen, Amanda, André (Shana) and Ryan; her great grandchildren, Jayden and Kamron; her husband Marshall Lashley; and her daughter Dr. Ruth Lashley.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton - Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity (1831 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V8). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens (1895 Main St W, Hamilton, ON L8S1J2).

I met Valrie about 2 years ago at Macassa and what started as just a friendly smile and hello at the music events grew into a cherished friendship. I adored Valrie and her beautiful smile. We sat together every Thursday and Saturday for the music shows and I looked forward to our chats each week. She spoke about her family with such pride. She was a lovely lady and I’m so grateful I got to meet her and enjoy her company”
