She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Owen and Bertie Owen; and her husband Jack. She is survived by: her children, Pat (Dan), John, Thom (Martha), Don, Patrick and Ellen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, ON L9A1T2). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Velma's memory may be made to St. George's Anglican Church; or The Welcome Inn Community Centre.
