He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Michelle Elizabeth; his parents, Victor John Fitzpatrick I and Margaret Elizabeth Fitzpatrick; and his siblings, Leona Langill (Neale), Marina LaFontaine (Robert), Margaret Kruger (Kevin), James (Anne), Andrew (Lynda) and Brian (Judy).

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Ann Fitzpatrick; his sons, Victor John III (Kristi), Timothy James (Catherine), Paul Lloyd and Brett Joseph (Nicole); his grandchildren, Quinn-Taylor Arlene, Cian Joseph, Caelyn Nicole, Kyle Victor and Aaron James; and his siblings, Ramona MacInnis (Pius) and Neil Fitzpatrick (Yoshiko). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill St N, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0). A prayer will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Legion of Mary (2472 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1K9). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (715 Centre Rd, Hamilton, ON L8B1E5).
