“Betty Bechtel let me know about Bill's passing. I'm living in Nova Scotia now and am out of touch with too many of my Ontario friends. I remember Bill and Freda fondly, as Freda sang with me in The John Laing Singers for many years while Bill was an invaluable fan and support worker for the choir, serving for a while as Chairman of the choir's Board. He was an incredible administrator and helped us immeasurably. He was also a fine gentleman and a very wise advisor. I am very sorry for your loss.”
