He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Short and Hugh Short; his siblings, Mary and Hugh (Clair); and his brothers-in-law, Ross and Ken.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his son Douglas (Juliet); his grandchildren, Callum (Jackie), Ian (Charlotte) and Jamie (Lindi); his sister Terry; his nephew Andrew (Celia); his close friends, Zdravko and Dale Bunjo (family: Arnaldo, Judy Monnar); and his phone debator Ken MacLean.
