He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bernard (late Lucille) and Roland. He is survived by: his spouse Andrée; his children, Suzanne (Jeff), Claudette (Denis) and Chantal; his grandchildren, Michelle (Brett), Brianne (Shane), Bradley, Cassandra and Meghan; his siblings, Roger (Paulette), Denise (Art), Therese (Rosaire) and Jeanne (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Lise and Helene.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean-Paul's name to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
