He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lumsden; his aunts and uncles, Johan, Duncan MacRae and Jessie; his brothers, Donald MacRae and Blenis Carmichael (Bonnie); and his siblings-in-law, Howard Amell (late Ina), Diane and Ethel Brown (late John).
He is survived by: his wife Angeline Lumsden; his children, John McKee (Sylvie), Robert Bertrand (Susan), Joy-Anne Beausoleil (late Robert), Tim Bertrand (late Kathleen), Brenda Raymond (Marcel) and Noella Donnelly (Brent); his grandchildren, Leslie (Joanne), John Jr. (Kelly), Shawn (Leslie-Anne), Leanne (Gint), Michelle, Kelly, Stefanie (Paul), Ashley (Kevin), Christianne (Gary), Krystle (Dawson), Dan (Trista), Joseph (Chelsey), Amanda (Ryan) and Kyle (Laura); his great grandchildren, Dylan (Pam), Tegan, Sarah, Brianna, Brody, Riley, Olivija, Jonas, Mason, Esmai, Parker, Lukas, Rae Ann, Maya, Falyn, Cascada, Alexis, Caroline, Niklaus, Grady, Clare, Caleb, Norah, Camille Ethan and Isaiah; his great great grandchildren, Dalton, Deklan and Clayton; his siblings-in-law, Lucille MacRae, Gilbert Amell (late Darlene), Evelyn (John Hurrell), Sheila Green (Jim) and Shirley Labrecque (late Octave); his nieces, Lori (Darren), Shauna (Ken), Jennifer (Glenn) and Sara; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas, Silas, Willy and Kaleo.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lougheed Funeral Home (4605 Michelle Dr, Hanmer, ON P3P1L6). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
