We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Bill Smith in Hanover, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Brian Hilgartner and Judy Hilgartner; his son-in-law Leander Emke; and his parents, William Smith and Joanne Smith (Ebel).
He is survived by: his sister Kim Sparks (Bill) of Waterloo; his partner's children, Mel Emke and Wes Hohl (Hillary Makin); his sibling's children, Krista Kennedy (Dwayne) of Ayr, Jenn LeBlanc (Jesse) of Kitchener and Kori Howe (Katrina) of Woodstock; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor, Jessica, Autumn, Lexi and Kiera; his siblings-in-law, Jim Hilgartner of Mount Forest, Kevin Hilgartner (Kim) of Kitchener and Thressa Hilgartner of Kitchener; Tristin Emke, Breelyn Konrad-Dolson, Lily Emke (Colton Tanner) and Shelby Hohl (Owen Tennant). He is also survived by three great great-nephews and one great great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Klages Mill (11 1st Ave N, Chesley, ON N0G1L0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
