John Fidler Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Fidler of Hanover, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Larry, Dale and Jeremy; his brother-in-law Brian Leifso; and his parents, Ivan Fidler and Joy Fidler (Des Chenes).
He is survived by: his children, Chris Fidler (Cathy) of Thamesford and Angie Fidler of Chesley; his grandchildren, Logan, Austin (Kristianna), Tyson (Tyla), Aiden (Shannon), Rianne (Dylan), Gavin, Olivia, Colin, Rachel (Nick), Jordan, Raven and Shailynn; his siblings, Bruce Fidler (Donna) of Chesley, Jo-Anne Jackson (Shane) of Desboro, Susanne Leifso of Elmwood, Dawn Brenndorfer (Alf) of Elmwood, Terrilea Fidler of Elmwood and Tim Fidler of Toronto; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Fidler of Chesley and Carole Fidler of Elmwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elmwood Community Centre (38 Concession Rd 10, Elmwood, ON N0G1S0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
