He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Mallett and Pearl Mallett (Jackson); his brother James Mallett; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Mallett, Frank Kelly and William Scott; and his parents-in-law, Stan and Wilma McTaggart (Brindley).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Mallett (McTaggart); his children, Amy, Peter Hertz of West Montrose, Kyle and Charlotte Mallett of Shelburne; his grandchildren, Julianna and Stanley Hertz; his pets, Reese and Cabbie; his siblings, Joan Scott of Meaford, Patricia, Luke Miltenburg of Schomberg and Sue Kelly of Mount Forest; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne and Cherie McTaggart of Listowel.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home (44 John St S, Harriston, ON N0G1Z0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church (135 Elora St S, Harriston, ON N0G1Z0).
Memorial donations to Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston, Mark Preece Family House (Hospital Family Houses of Ontario), Hamilton, or to the Harriston Foodbank would be appreciated.
