He was predeceased by: his brother Raymond Bender (Elizabeth); and his brother-in-law Allan Olsen. He is survived by: his spouse Jackie Bender (Plant); his children, John Bender, Scott of Kitchener, Robert, Lisa Bender of Port Elgin, Jennifer and David Mogk of Kitchener; his grandchildren, Jacob Mogk, Ryan Mogk, Danica Bender, Curtis Bender and Keenan Bender; and his sisters, Rosanna Olsen of Kitchener and Mary Ellen Tompkins (Richard) of Lakefield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations to Palmerston Hospital would be appreciated, and may be made through Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
