He was predeceased by : his brother Joseph; and his parents, Margaret and Alex Sr.. He is survived by : his children, Colleen Toth (Cole Knutson) and Jason Toth (Tiana); his sister-in-law Gina Toth; his nieces and nephews, Joey (Irene), Amanda, Danny (Ariane), Patrick (Gwen) and Timothy; and his stepchild Girard Bertrand.

Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
