She was predeceased by : her parents, Jaakko Luukkanen and Eila Luukkanen; and her brother-in-law James Smeltzer. She is survived by : her husband Tim; her daughter Sandra; her siblings, Maija Luukkanen, Pentti, Eija and Antti Luukkanen; her mother-in-law Mary Catherine Smeltzer; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Smeltzer (Kathy), Jayne, Thrasher, Lisa Beneteau (Lawrence) and Peter Smeltzer (Debbie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made by cheque to Erie Shores Hospice or the charity of your choice.
