He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Teves and Helena (Feliciano); and his siblings, Maria Cordeiro (late Manuel), Manuel Teves (late Diodata), Frank Teves (Maria), Emundo Teves (Carma), Antonio "Tony" Teves (late Maria) and Angela.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Angela Teves (Medeiros); his children, Maria Talbot (James) and Gabriel Teves; and his siblings, Helena Jaekel (late Paul), Carlos Teves (Eduarda), Valdomira Ferreira (Adelino) and Portugal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
