She was predeceased by: her child Janaya; her parents, Floyd Wilson and Wilma Wilson; and her siblings, Walter Wilson (Joanne) and Thomas Wilson (late Honour).

She is survived by: her daughter Tina; her boyfriend Larry Mulder; her grandchildren, Latoya, Cierra and Jovon; her great grandchildren, Cienna and Ceraia; and her siblings, Virginia Witcher (Brooks), Blake Wilson (Robin), Renee Wilson, Dean Wilson (Dorothy), Duwana Wilson and April Williamson (Robert). She is also survived by her extended family and friends.

Donations in memory of Gertrude may be made to Diabetes Canada.
