Bethany Oosterhof Obituary
It is with profound sadness and loss the we announce the passing on to glory of our dear daughter Bethany Joy Oosterhof. Bethany was born on April the 5 (as she liked to say) 1995. She passed away in the early hours of December 26 likely due to SUDIEP. Sudden unexplainable death in Epilepsy.
BJ was the sister of Courtney (Eric) , Amanda (Constantine) and Garrison (Adelaide) and a reluctant Aunt to 6 amazing nephews and one niece. She was always keeping an eye on them and her stuffed animals as she cherished them too. Bethany lived her life to the fullest and adored her community of friends and caregivers at Community Living Day programs. She always absolutely loved Wednesday's at Har't Studio . Our families want to say thanks to all the amazing staff and caregivers in her life.
Bethany loved her 'job' at BFM Mission Store. She walked in that back door every time like she owned the place and we were thrilled to hear the stories of camaraderie and fun had by her coworkers. Bethany was definitely the apple of our eye as she lived her life with us and all the adventures that we could manage. She was an amazing traveller and companion.
Bethany was adored by a huge number of aunts and uncles and a gazzilion cousins. Bethany was adored and supported by amazing Opa and Oma's on both side of our family and she was obviously welcomed into heaven by the Lord and Opa and Oma O right behind Him.
As her parents, Bethany's passing has caught us completely off guard and our hearts are broken and yet we know… 'Because He lives we can face tomorrow, because He holds the future, life is worth the living' Gary and Corina Friends and family will be received at the Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church (3876 Harrowsmith Rd., Harrowsmith, ON) on Thursday, January 1, 2026 between the hours of 1 pm - 3 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm.
