He is survived by: his wife Linda Bates; his stepchildren, Tina Benson (John) and Todd Benson (Lisa); his grandson Alexander Benson; his son Blaine Bates; his grandchild Leslie Bates; his sister Donalda Lockhart (late Goldie); and also, Deb (Jim), Fred (Carole), Ted (Susie) and Anne (Jim).
