She was predeceased by: her husband Jacques Lacasse; her daughter Heather Cowan; and her parents, Barbara Parsons and James Parsons. She is survived by: her daughters, Maghan, Erin and Brittany Cowan; her grandchildren, Ethan, Elyssa, Reo and Phillip; her siblings, Corlea Freeland and Forbes Parsons; and her nieces and nephews, James, Aaron, Phaidra, Zenith, Landon and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tessa's memory may be made to a local animal rescue or a charity supporting autoimmune disease research.
