She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Oswick and Dorothy Provencal; her husband Walter McMeekin; and her siblings, Ethel Young (late Freddy) and Philip Oswick (late Helen).
She is survived by: her children, Barry (Anne), Judy Smith and Brian; and her siblings, Fay Leclair (late Johnny), Donald Oswick (Jeannine) and Alvin Oswick (Joyce). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
