It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Johannes Metzger of Hensall, Ontario, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Brigitte Dorothea Metzger (Heim); his parents, Hermann Metzger and Angelika Metzger (Kast); his brother Gerhard Metzger; and his brother-in-law Hansjörg Heim.

He is survived by : his children, Matthias (Monika Metzger), Gerhard (Heike Metzger) and Angelika (Stephen Weiss); his grandchildren, Marc Metzger, Sabrina, Shaun Doyle, Stephanie Metzger, Jarrett Johns, Jason Metzger, Jonah Weiss, Thea Weiss, Lena Weiss and Micah Weiss; his great grandchildren, Deacon Doyle, Kye Doyle and Mason Johns; and his siblings, Friedhelm Metzger (Rose) of Germany, Susanne Kaucher (Rolf) of Germany and Dorthea Reese-Heim (Jens) of Germany. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
