She is survived by: her husband Gord DeGroot; her sons, Martin VanBalkom (Tammy), Kevin Balkom and Anthony Balkom; and her grandchildren, Jessica (Matt), Danielle (Dave), Ryan (Danielle), Myles, Douglas (Kat), Nicole (Kyle), Emily (Jason), Addy, Ashton, Aiden, Sadie, Palmer, Violet, Drake, Sierra, Jackson, Ryker, Brody and Eleanor.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Downs and Son Funeral Home (145 Queen St W, Hepworth, ON N0H1P0).
