She was predeceased by: her former husband Douglas Edwin Strathy; her parents, Bill Dean and Mary Dean; and her parents-in-law, Gordon Strathy (Doris), Patricia Reid, Al McBeth and Linda Carlton.

She is survived by: her sons, James (Elaine) of Chesley, Andrew (Vicky) of Holland Centre and Edgar (Annette) of Williamsford; her grandchildren, Joe (Aliyah), Maggie (Rob), Amy (Scott), Beth (Josh), Kylie (Alex), Ashley, Lucas, Ryley and Jason; her great grandchildren, DJ, William, Nichole, Hailey, Mason, Allie and Scarlet; her parents-in-law, Katherine McBeth, Isabelle Simpson, Bill (Edie), James, Donna, Ronald (Barb), Murray Wright (Betty), Norman Reid and Jackie Brown; and her husband Doug. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
