He is survived by : his siblings, Donald, Mabel and Gordon; his nephews, Michael, Gordon and Steve; and his pet Lucky.

A graveside service will be held at Briar Hill Cemetery, 5500 Black River Rd., Sutton on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of Doug's life at Georgian Downs, 7485 5th Sideroad, Innisfil at 1:30 p.m. In Doug's memory, donations may be made to the OSPCA.
