He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Troup; his son Bill Troup; his parents, Grace Troup and Melvin Troup; and his sisters, Norma Porter and Noreen Nelson (Paul).

He is survived by: his children, Kelly (Mark Keffer) of Varney and Sandy Troup of Holstein; and his grandchildren, Jessica Keffer (Paul Sherry), Victoria Keffer, Amanda Keffer (Em Douma), Austin Walsom and Tyler Troup.
