He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; his daughter Barbara Brear; his parents, Archie Brear and Minnie Brear; and his siblings, Annie Marshall (Bill), Frances Gohm (Herb), Edith Brear and Clarence Brear.
He is survived by: his children, Merna Sluman, Nancy Cole, Verna Kobylanski and Barry Brear; his grandchildren, Alicia (Frank), Amy (Dan), Matthew (Stephanie) and Madison Brear; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Bryson and Brooklyn; and his pet Panni.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Billingsley Funeral Home (430 Ravenscliffe Rd, Huntsville, ON P1H1L7). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calendrier Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery (485 Muskoka District Road 3, Huntsville, ON P1H1C6).
