He was predeceased by : his wife Irene Marion Barager; his stepson Ronald Chevalier; his parents, Gordon Barager and Jessie Barager; and his sisters, Olive Stroud (Claud) and Ilean Lloyd (George).

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Donald Chevalier (Beverley), Murray Seymour (Ranaye) and Betty Henderson (Allen); and his siblings, Carl Barager (Marjorie), Doris England and Ken Barager. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren.
