He was predeceased by : his wife Frieda Powell (Forbes); his parents, Chrystal Powell (Robinson) and Stephen Powell; his brother Don; his sister-in-law Mary Powell; and his siblings, Barb (Bill Wood), Evelyn Stenton (Bea) and Dwayne Graham (Bill Smith).

He is survived by : his children, Laura, Stuart Carne of Ilderton, Brad and Leanne Powell of Dutton; his grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Ryan (Nicole), Taylor, Jorden (Kaitlyn), Skylar (Codi) and Mackenzie; his great grandchild Lincoln; his sibling Bev; and his sister-in-law Betty Powell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
