She was loved and cherished by many people including : her significant other James M. "Jim" Hanley; her children, Mike Ewing of Ingersoll and Mitch Ewing of London; her grandchildren, Brittany Ewing of Windsor and Rachael Ewing of St. Thomas; and her parents, Alvah E. "Al" and Marjorie McQuiggan.
