“When the family moved to montrose ave, a few houses north from my house, I was fortunate to have Louise in my class for all of grade six. Her desk was next to mine, to my left. Since our walking route to and from school was the same and sitting next to each other in class, it was inevitable that we became friends quickly. She was a shy, quiet but friendly with her long straight brown/ golden hair that shined in the light. Recall her written story on being goodie Howe’s hockey stick.”
