Arthur Hudell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Hudell of Innisfil, Ontario, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George Hudell and Eliza Hudell. He is survived by : his wife Erica; his children, Mark and Sheila; and his grandchildren, Joel, Sebastian, Skylar and Addison.

In lieu of a memorial event, the family will be making a donation to Simcoe Hospice, where they were blessed to spend the last week of Art's life, letting him know that he was loved and appreciated and could go in peace to a lake and rolling hills beyond. Should anyone feel they wish to do anything for the family, they would ask a small donation be made to Simcoe Hospice in Art's name.

“Auntie Erica, Mark, and Sheila, I hope your memories provide you comfort as you reflect back on Arts life and all you accomplished. He was a beloved father figure to me and I feel fortunate to have shared so much time with your family growing up. I have many fond memories, like his backyard hockey rink, making elastic guns, soapbox racing, the trips to the cottage, "Arts Content". He was an amazing trick water skier and loved feeding "chipper". RIP uncle Art, love Leslie (aka Bert)”

“Erica, Sheila and Mark, Sorry to hear the passing of your Husband (dad). I read the obit in Innisfil Today and it brought back memories of working for Art cutting grass, painting (for the rich guys on Lake Simcoe) and helping with the docks. A couple enjoyable summers long ago. Art was a great man. Yes, he did make great ice and looked after our beloved Curling Club. I enjoyed my chats with him while visiting my Dad (Stew) at the Allandale Station. Again sorry for your loss, Mark Fisher”
