She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Bates (Eddy); her child Michele Bates; and her brother Robert. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Panczuk (John) and Brian Bates (Madeline); her grandchildren, Tanya Panczuk, Justin Bates (Nikki), Tyler Panczuk (Allie) and Adam Bates; and her sisters, Violet and Roseann.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge St, Innisfil, ON L9S1L5). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Paul's Cemetery (3294 St Paul's Cres, Barrie, ON L4M4S7).
