He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty; his son Bill; and his stepson David Caird. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, John (Barb), Mary Lou Sitoski (Rob), Jim, Shari (Bill) and Tom; his daughter-in-law Wendy; and his stepchildren, Brien Caird (Jan), Marita (Kevin) and Cheryl (Les). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren and a very large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, as per Ellis's wishes donations may be made to the Inverary United Church the Salvation Army or Fairmount Home in memory of Ellis would be greatly appreciated by the family.
