He was predeceased by: his father Allan Waddell; and his son David Freire. He is survived by: his children, Mary Lynn Kozak, Thomas Waddell (Angel), Julie Waddell, Viviane Radford (Darren) and Allan Waddell; his sisters, Helen Dawley (Les) and Margaret Swerdfeger (Glenn); his grandchildren, Nathan Quinn, Kalyan Kozak (Belynda), Marley Kozak, Dylan Spence and Jordan Spence; his stepgrandchildren, Devon (Katrina), Jordan and Kyle Radford; and his great grandchildren, Allie, Molly and Mara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donations to the Cancer Society, Winchester Hospital or Mental Health would gratefully acknowledged by the family.
