He was predeceased by: his parents, Hartley Gillard and Ethel Gillard; and his siblings, Donalda Hodgson (Stan), Donald (Betty), Bruce (Ruth) and Hugh Gillard.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Gillard; his children, Sherry Gillard (Bruce Froats) of Johnstown, Tricia Bilmer (Matt) of Morrisburg and David Gillard (Tina) of Harrisons Corners; his grandchildren, Cal, Cassidy, Jonah and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Emma and Jamie; his siblings, Norma Morris (late Richard), Ron Gillard, Robert "Rowdy" Gillard and Brian Gillard (Mary); and his sibling-in-law Arnita Gillard of Johnstown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
