It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicolaas Anema (Jarvis, Ontario), who passed away on November 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nicolaas Anema to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Nicolaas shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Nicolaas farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Anema of Simcoe; his children, Stanley Anema (Valerie) of Simcoe, Raymond Anema (Lisa) of Simcoe, Francine Ouwendyk (Rick) of Simcoe and Roger Anema (Annalea) of Simcoe; and his brother Ernie (late Irene) of Winnipeg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel (689 Norfolk St N, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church (139b Talbot St E, Jarvis, ON N0A1J0).
