It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Wilfred Niemi (Kakabeka Falls, Ontario), born in Kaministiquia, Ontario, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Roy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Roy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Beverley; his sons, Larry (Shirley) and Randy (Sherie); his sister-in-law Bernice; and his grandchildren, Lia (Damien), Casey (Lauren), Craig (Kendra), Ryan (Natassia) and Laura (Banjo). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (13 Marian St, Kakabeka Falls, ON P0T1W0).
