She was predeceased by: her husband Hallam Herbert Rideout (Hal); her parents, Allen Elijah and Ethel Mary Merritt (Lawton); and her sisters, Mary Lomax, Marion Doyle (Isaac Merritt), Dorothy Warner and Rubert Merritt (Walker Merritt).

She is survived by: her children, Richard Hallam Rideout (Bonnie), Deborah Lynn Malone (Jim) and Alison Beryl Rideout; her grandchildren, Benjamin George Bow and Megan Alexandra Malone; and her great grandchildren, Stella Dee Bow and Abbey Alison Bow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
